# For schools: The Very Good Letter Company

> Stay in touch for life. For independent schools and their development offices. A letter in real ink to former pupils, donors and new families says the school remembers them, long after the last day of term.

- **The whole site, in brief:** https://www.verygoodletter.co/llms.txt

## What to send.

- [Invitations](https://www.verygoodletter.co/use-cases/invitations): Invitations to reunions, open days and the school play.
- [Thank-you cards](https://www.verygoodletter.co/use-cases/thank-you): A thank-you to every donor, saying what their gift built.
- [Welcome cards](https://www.verygoodletter.co/use-cases/welcome): A welcome for every new family, from the head.
- [Christmas cards](https://www.verygoodletter.co/use-cases/christmas-cards): Christmas cards to governors, donors and former staff.

## What to write.

An invitation to start from, for former pupils. The blanks fill in from each person’s row on your list.

> Dear [first name],
>
> We are holding a reunion for the class of [year they left], and it would not be the same without you.
>
> [a teacher they’ll remember] is coming back for the evening, and would love to see you.
>
> Do bring someone. The details are inside.
>
> With warm wishes,
>
> [your name]

### Make it theirs.

- **Name a teacher.** A teacher they’ll remember, or a friend from their year, is the best reason to come.
- **Say what it built.** The new science room, a bursary, a boat for the rowing club: tell donors what their gift became.
- **From the head.** A welcome to a new family means most when the head signs it.

## Write with AI.

Or let your assistant write every one. Connect Very Good Letter to Claude, ChatGPT or Grok, ask in plain words, and it writes each person a letter of their own.

- **It does the reading.** Ask it to check your CRM, your orders and the news first, and it writes every letter from what it finds.
- **Every letter its own.** Not a template with a name dropped in: each one written from greeting to sign-off for the person who opens it, and sized to fit.
- **Nothing goes without you.** It can show you every letter, who it’s to and the price before anything is ordered. It orders only when you say yes.

For example: “Using Very Good Letter, write an invitation to the class of 2006 reunion for each former pupil on this list. Check our records for their house and a teacher they had, and mention both. Show me every invitation and the price before ordering.” [Send with AI](https://www.verygoodletter.co/build-with-ai)

1. Checking your records: Harriet Cole left in 2006, from Darwin House.
2. Checking the evening: Mr Ashworth, her housemaster, is coming back for the reunion.
3. Writing Harriet’s invitation: Tells her Mr Ashworth will be there, and asks her to bring someone.

Harriet’s invitation, ready for you to check.

> Dear Harriet,
>
> It has been twenty years since the class of 2006 left, and we would love to see you back. Mr Ashworth is coming, and he still talks about the Darwin House play.
>
> Do bring someone.
>
> With warm wishes,
>
> Catherine

## Fair questions.

### Where do the date and RSVP go?

In print, inside the cover, with your design. The ink is for the invitation itself.

### Is there a minimum order?

No. The smallest pack is 7 credits, enough for one standard letter, and the more you buy, the less each one costs.

### Who writes the letters?

Written by robots. Unquestionably human. Real fountain pens, real ink, real paper. Just a steadier hand than ours. Nib, our handwriting model, guides each pen, in twelve styles from loose to neat.

### What does it cost?

You pay in credits. A standard letter is 7 credits, envelope, stamp and postage included: from £3.25 a letter before VAT. [See the prices](https://www.verygoodletter.co/pricing).
