# For gyms and clubs: The Very Good Letter Company

> Members, not memberships. For gyms, golf clubs and members’ clubs. A welcome in real ink in the first week, and a letter when someone stops coming, tells a member they were missed.

- **This page:** https://www.verygoodletter.co/for/gyms
- **The whole site, in brief:** https://www.verygoodletter.co/llms.txt

## What to send.

- [Welcome cards](https://www.verygoodletter.co/use-cases/welcome): A welcome for every new member, from whoever will coach or host them.
- [Win-back letters](https://www.verygoodletter.co/use-cases/re-engagement): A letter to members who stopped coming, before they cancel.
- [Thank-you cards](https://www.verygoodletter.co/use-cases/thank-you): A card on their anniversary with you, or when they reach a milestone.
- [Invitations](https://www.verygoodletter.co/use-cases/invitations): Invitations to members’ evenings, open days and competitions.

## What to write.

A letter to start from, for members you haven’t seen for a while. The blanks fill in from each member’s row on your list.

> Dear [first name],
>
> We have not seen you at the club since [their last visit], and we miss you.
>
> Whatever got in the way, there is no catching up to do. Just come back when you are ready.
>
> If it would help, book a session with me and we will start gently.
>
> See you soon,
>
> [your name]

### Make it theirs.

- **Write before they cancel.** A few quiet weeks is the moment. After they cancel, it’s a harder letter to write.
- **No guilt.** Say they were missed, not that they’re paying for nothing.
- **One easy step.** A session, a class, a round with the pro: something small to come back for.

## Write with AI.

Or let your assistant write every one. Connect Very Good Letter to Claude, ChatGPT or Grok, ask in plain words, and it writes each person a letter of their own.

- **It does the reading.** Ask it to check your CRM, your orders and the news first, and it writes every letter from what it finds.
- **Every letter its own.** Not a template with a name dropped in: each one written from greeting to sign-off for the person who opens it, and sized to fit.
- **Nothing goes without you.** It can show you every letter, who it’s to and the price before anything is ordered. It orders only when you say yes.

For example: “Using Very Good Letter, write to each member who hasn’t been in for six weeks. Check what they used to come for and offer them an easy way back. Show me every letter and the price before ordering.” [Send with AI](https://www.verygoodletter.co/build-with-ai)

1. Checking your members: Claire Dobson: three mornings a week until September, then nothing.
2. Checking her bookings: Always the 7am spin class with Jordan.
3. Writing Claire’s letter: Says she’s been missed at 7am spin, and offers a session with Jordan.

Claire’s letter, ready for you to check.

> Dear Claire,
>
> The 7am spin class has not been the same since September. Jordan keeps asking where you have got to.
>
> Whatever got in the way, there is no catching up to do. Book a session with him and we will start gently.
>
> See you soon,
>
> Beth

## Fair questions.

### Can each letter be different?

Yes. Anything on your list goes into their letter, in the same ink as the rest: their name, their class, the last time they came.

### Can it look like us?

Yes. Give us your website and we bring in your logo, colours and typeface, or use your own letterhead. Flat cards, folded cards or folded letters, on four papers, all the same price.

### Who writes the letters?

Written by robots. Unquestionably human. Real fountain pens, real ink, real paper. Just a steadier hand than ours. Nib, our handwriting model, guides each pen, in twelve styles from loose to neat.

### What does it cost?

You pay in credits. A standard letter is 7 credits, envelope, stamp and postage included: from £3.25 a letter before VAT. [See the prices](https://www.verygoodletter.co/pricing).
